6-Day Paris and London Holiday Package

We begin our sightseeing tour in Madrid, the capital of Spain. From the motorcoach you will see Cibeles Fountain, Plaza Mayor, Plaza de Espana, Plaza de Colon, and the Royal Palace of Madrid, ultimately arriving at Puerta del Sol. Later in the afternoon, we’ll say farewell to Madrid and drive to Zaragoza.

From the hotel in or near Zaragoza we’ll drive to Barcelona, where you will see the Columbus Monument, La Rambla, and Sagrada Familia from the exterior. Then it’s time for Camp Nou, the FC Barcelona, Football Stadium (admission not included). Afterward we’ll visit Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys, the main stadium for the 1992 Summer Olympics, at Montjuic. After breakfast, we depart Barcelona and drive to beautiful Valencia, Spain’s third largest city. Upon arrival, we’ll visit the Modernisme Plaza of the City Hall of Valencia; Valencia’s Ancient City Gates; and Valencia Cathedral, where the true Holy Grail is kept. This morning we depart for the city of Granada, an historic city once ruled by the Visigoths and the Moors. We’ll visit the Alhambra, a Moorish citadel and palace (admission not included). On Day 6 we’ll visit Lisbon, the Portugal’s capital and largest city. We’ll make a special stop at Cabo da Roca (Cape Roca), then head to Lisbon city center to visit Belem Tower and Jeronimos Monastery. We’ll pass through Marquis of Pombal Square and then stop at Rossio Square for some free time.

A day of delights begins with a leisurely trip through the Dutch countryside, where you’ll get to sample at close quarters some of the things that the Netherlands is traditionally famous for: clogs, cheese and windmills. Call in at the hugely popular model town of Zaanse Schans. Next, you’ll head from the quiet countryside to the cosmopolitan city as your journey takes you back to Amsterdam. After visiting a well-known diamond factory, where you’ll see the unique cutting techniques that have been practised here since the 16th century, you can take an optional hour-long pre-dinner canal cruise, which is a great way to discover more about this unique European city. After disembarking you’ll walk to one of the city’s grandest areas, Dam Square, where the Royal Palace is located and the Queen’s birthday celebrations take place. You’ll have photo opportunities here, free time for shopping or further sightseeing, and then round the day off with dinner. (B) From mid-March to mid-May the tour will also visit Keukenhof Garden, a 32-hectare seasonal exhibition of beautifully colored and scented displays of spring flowers – most notably millions of tulips.
